- The FOCUS MediaConverter represents the third generation of DV to Analog Video Converters from FOCUS Enhancements. The FOCUS MediaConverter is the most advanced bi-directional converter available to fulfill the needs of professional and industrial users.
- Besides DV to Analog Video Conversion, the FOCUS MediaConverter comes also with SDI and AES/EBU Input and Outputs, so you can convert Analog Video and DV to SDI and vice versa. All outputs work parallel so you can connect a Betacam tape machine, a DV VTR and one video control monitor directly to your DV camcorder or player. With the FOCUS MediaConverter, take advantage of the two FireWire connections strategically positioned on the front and the rear side of the unit for easy access.
- Take advantage of the wide variety of industry standard protocols FOCUS MediaConverter has to offer including bidirectional VTR control via RS-422 and RS-232 9-pin Interface for firmware updates and system settings.
- For Broadcast and Studio Environments, we have also integrated a Genlock Interface
to provide synchronization from the FOCUS MediaConverter to a Studio Reference Signal. For easy integration in the Studio Environment, the FOCUS MediaConverter comes in
a 1U 19” rackmountable case.
- FOCUS MediaConverter provides easy access to front panel controls, which include menu selection buttons with a backlit LCD display for conversion settings.
- The FOCUS MediaConverter is the ideal add-on for systems like AVID Xpress DV, Pinnacle Liquid, Apple Final Cut or Adobe Premiere. Look to the FOCUS MediaConverter to copy your footage from any source to your Firewire laptop to allow editing wherever you like before copying the final edited video back to the tape format of your choice. FOCUS MediaConverter is also perfect for Desktop Editing Systems including Matrox RT.X or Canopus Storm, which have limited analog video I/O capabilities.
